		<description>The list seems to be working! It's only been two days, but they've been a productive two days, and my daughter is so happy with her new independence.

@Sue - doing school work is a great idea, and she's been doing some of that already. But I'll get more involved and make it extra fun (we hope) in a week or two.</description>

		<description>We used to do "school work" type projects over the summer.  Nothing overly complicated, but stuff to keep the kids in practice.  Maybe while you're working, that can be study time -- a math workbook, practice reading or writing, whatever.</description>

		<description>It's so hard entertaining kids while we try to work. I'm luck that my son is older (9) and can entertain himself for the most part. I'm amazed at how much a very independent, know it all 9 year old can suddenly need my help when he's not in school. Kind of funny how he wants my help when I'm working but not when I offer it any other time - hmmm go figure. Kids! 

It sounds like you have a good plan for the summer and I hope you get your projects done quickly so you can start you summer 'break'.</description>
