Lesson 1 Abstract/Angles

Very different from my previous Lesson 1 post. There’s more to the 1st assignment, so I’ll add to this post when I have it completed.

And here they are: more views of my hibiscus tree than you ever thought you wanted to see. :) I have to recommend this method, however. Every way you look at a flowering tree there is a new picture waiting to be snapped.

(The abstract pic attaches itself to the gallery, even though I don’t want it to. Oh well. I’ll chalk it up as a learning experience and move on.)

I love the abstract picture. The waves of light make it look like it’s moving and the cool aqua colour make the photo look like water.

What is it a picture of?

Oh, forgot to mention that my close ups were taken with the macro feature on. No zoom, just macro.

Interesting how we both photographed flowers this week.

Thanks, Charmian. Roughly 80% of my hard drive is flower pictures, lol. Expect more, too, because I have been working ahead on the assignments. And the summer flowers were just too gorgeous to resist.

The abstract is one of those wire storage baskets lined with blue tissue paper, placed in front of a sunny window with blinds. I was experimenting, using it as a backdrop for a pot of flowers when I realized it would make a great abstract all by itself.
